Want to learn how to identify woodland birds?

On Thursday 4 May, come along to learn about woodland birds of the tablelands and western Blue Mountains.

Birdlife Australia’s Woodland Birds for Biodiversity project coordinator, Mick Roderick is presenting a free, fun workshop at the Royal Hotel, Historic Hartley.

“At this workshop you’ll learn about the temperate woodlands of the western Blue Mountains region and why our woodland birds are threatened. You will learn the basics of woodland bird identification, how to recognise different bird calls, how to record calls and how to do bird surveys on your smart phone,” said Mick.

This workshop is supported by Central Tablelands Local Land Services and Birdlife Australia through funding from the Australian Government.

It is free but you will need to register by Monday 1 May.
