16 February 2015
The Central Tablelands Local Land Services currently has positions vacant in a property management course to be held in the Cowra and Mudgee Regions commencing in March 2015.
The course offers farmers and land managers the opportunity to develop a formalised farm/property management plan, to assist as a decision management tool. All of the materials required will be provided, including a large laminated property aerial image as well as plastic overlays and printed property planning resources.
The course has a mix of practical and theory, and will cover a range of topics including: weeds, pasture management, soil health, erosion, pest animals, on property biosecurity and native vegetation.
"The course is a fantastic opportunity to take a holistic view of your property and develop a plan that suits your needs based around solid technical information as well as your own personal values" Peter Evans, Senior Land Services Offices.
"The course will be run over a number of months allowing participants time to think about the process and make the best decisions for them."
The cost of the course is being heavily subsidised by the Central Tablelands LLS. The course would normally cost $2,800 however participants will only be required to pay a $300 enrolment fee.
