Peter Sparkes appointed Central Tablelands General Manager

In one of the final steps towards the implementation of Central Tablelands LLS, Ian Armstrong, Chairman, has announced the appointment of Peter Sparkes to the role of General Manager. "Peter will be based in Cowra and bring with him a wealth of knowledge integral to the role and management of such a diverse region" said Ian.
Employed with the Lachlan Catchment Management Authority in the capacity of Program Manager, Partnerships, training and advisory services since establishment, Peter has acted as General Manager for the past six months. Peter brings to the table a comprehensive understanding of cropping and grazing systems, program design and stakeholder engagement and remains enthusiastic about Local Land Services. "A combination of extensive planning and our skilled and experienced staff provides me with confidence that we are ready when the doors open to Local Land Services in January 2014:", "Keeping it local and maintaining all services and community connections is paramount on our Agenda" said Peter.
Chairman, Ian Armstrong stated "I am extremely pleased with this announcement; Peter has proven his capability in this period of transition and has kept across all stages of the recruitment, planning and transition process. A well deserved appointment."
Local Land Services is an amalgamation of Catchment Management Authorities, Livestock Health and Pest Authorities and Department of Primary Industries Agricultural Extension staff, established in order to offer streamlined services to ratepayers and the community alike.
