Quad bike safety program

The NSW Quad Bike Safety Improvement Program is offering four rebates to give eligible farmers and their workers up to $500 to implement harm prevention measures in the workplace.

This program is funded by SafeWork NSW and implemented by NSW Farmers.

The rebate package will be rolled out across NSW from 19 July 2016 – 30 June 2017. If rebate numbers are exhausted prior to 30 June 2017, the package will close early.

The following are eligible for support in the rebate package:

  • Up to $310 toward the cost of quad bike training. To qualify, you need to prove you have attended and completed the unit of competency AHCMOM212 (Operate quad bikes) delivered by a registered training organisation in NSW.
  • Up to $250 towards purchase of either the Quadbar ™ operator protective device or ATV Lifeguard operator protective device.
  • Up to $500 to purchase a side-by-side vehicle.
  • Up to $45 to purchase a helmet compliant with NZS 8600:2002, AS/NZS 1698:2006 and/or UNECE22.05.
